Steve Sarkisian produced his first winning season as University of Washington football coach in 2011. He also earned his second bowl game invitation in his three seasons.
Steve Sarkisian’s Huskies started the season with a 5-1 record, lost a spate of games to nationally ranked teams, including Stanford, Oregon and USC, and recovered to shell Washington State in the Apple Cup to finish at 7-5. 2011 marked the first winning season of the Sarkisian era, after he went 5-7 and 6-6 in his first two seasons.
