Cougs’ Wilson suspended after quitting practice

Marquess Wilson has been suspended for a violation of team rules, according to a spokesman from the Washington State football program said Monday morning. The Moscow-Pullman Daily News reported that Wilson walked off the field 20 minutes into a two-hour conditioning workout Sunday night.

WSU’s all-time leader in receiving yards, Wilson was benched two weeks ago after head coach Mike Leach became upset with his poor practice habits.  If Wilson leaves the program, he will become the 18th scholarship player to depart WSU since Leach was hired in January.

In a 49-6 loss Saturday to Utah in Salt Lake City, Wilson tied for the team lead with five receptions for 73 yards. But for the second week he a row, he came off the bench behind Dominique Williams.

Wilson entered the game with 184 career receptions and needed 12 to set the school record.

Good riddance, he’s a cancer, a crybaby, and now that he doesn’t get treated with kid gloves, he quits. We don’t want quitters, we want hard work team players.

As a Husky I am giggling that WSU is imploding at the moment, but as someone who played on a struggling high school team with similar issues I think the right things are happening and they will become a very strong program in 3-5 years.

Run them all off, like Bear Bryant at Texas A & M.

Gee, do you think he might not appreciate the name calling and verbal harassments? Perhaps the young man just had his fill of Leach. What Leach is saying in public is verbal bullying and who wants that?
