Update: Free agent RB Fred Jackson, 34, had a visit with the Seahawks Monday and left without signing a contract. Coach Pete Carroll said backup RB Robert Turbin had a high ankle sprain in the Saturday game in San Diego. Freeman, a former teammate of Marshawn Lynch in Buffalo, was cut as the Bills reached the 75-player limit.
Jackson, who broke into the NFL with Lynch in 2007, rushed for 5,646 yards during his career. He was the Bills’ third-leading career rusher behind Thurman Thomas and O.J. Simpson.
The Bills made Lynch their first-round pick in 2007. Jackson joined the team after playing in NFL Europe. After the Seahawks acquired Lynch in early 2010, Jackson became Buffalo’s primary back.
Turbin has been the backup for Lynch but is coming off hip surgery and now a sprained ankle. Third-year RB Christine Michael makes enough mistakes to worry coaches.
Jackson is a solid receiver and blocker. Although he averaged a career-low 3.7 yards per carry last season, he caught 66 passes for 501 yards, both career highs. He has rushed for 30 touchdowns. He had his best yardage year in 2009 with 1,062, and his best TD season in 2013 with 10.
Jackson has 322 career receptions vs. 239 for Lynch.

he should punch who wrote this
tweet him and i’m sure you two could work something out.
Christine’s problem is that he doesn’t get enough reps to develop and that won’t happen here. I’m predicting that he gets traded to the Titans, Turbin goes on the PUP list and Jackson and Rawls start the season as Marshawn’s backups.
jackson is 34 that’s 87 in RB years
