The Sounders Tuesday announced an ambitious preseason schedule, which includes training camps in Seattle, Arizona and South Carolina from late January through early March. The Sounders start it up Jan. 25 at Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila, WA., will train for 10 days in Tucson starting Jan. 29, and will travel to Charleston, SC., Feb. 19 to participate for the first time in the Carolina Challenge Cup.
In the midst of that, the Sounders will participate in the MLS SuperDraft, scheduled for Jan. 16 at the Philadelphia Convention Center.
During preseason training in Arizona, the Sounders will face the San Jose Earthquakes Feb. 5 and Portland Timbers Feb. 8. In Charleston, SC., the Sounders will oppose the Charleston Battery of the USL Pro Feb. 22, the Houston Dynamo Feb. 26 and D.C. United March 1.
The Sounders launch their sixth regular season March 8 when they host 2013 MLS Cup champion Sporting Kansas City at CenturyLink Field.
