The Mariners Wednesday announced they have agreed to terms with 15 more selections from the 2013 June amateur draft, including fourth-round selection Ryan Hortsman, a left-handed pitcher from St. John’s University. According to Director of Amateur Scouting Tom McNamara, Seattle has now signed 28 of the team’s 40 picks, including 10 players in the first 12 rounds.
In addition to Hortsman, the Mariners also signed the following and assigned them to three teams in the club’s minor league system:
Arizona League Mariners (8) – RHP Tommy Burns, SS Jordan Cowan, LHP Paul Fry, LHP Michaelangelo Guzman, SS Lonnie Kauppila, RHP Zach Littell, C Kyle Petty, C Daniel Torres.
Pulaski Mariners (5) – LHP Eddie Campbell, LHP Tyler Mathis, OF Ian Miller, RHP Troy Scott, SS Zack Shank.
Everett AquaSox (2) – LHP Ryan Hortsman, LHP Tyler Wright.
