Percy Harvin, sidelined since training camp with a hip injury, will return to practice Tuesday, the Seahawks said Monday. The star wide receiver, recovering from hip surgery in July, will return to play sometime in the next three weeks, but it isn’t known whether he will be ready for the next game Monday night in St. Louis.
The Seahawks acquired Harvin March 12 after trading their 2013 first-round draft choice, one of three seventh-round choices and a 2014 third-round pick to Minnesota for him. When training camp arrived, Harvin suddenly came up lame, which ultimately forced hip surgery.
There was speculation Harvin might miss the entire season, but an aggressive rehab program proved successful. Although he remains on the physically unable to perform list, his activation for practice means he has three weeks to return to a game, or he goes back on the PUP list for the season. When he’s ready for a game, the Seahawks will have to make a cut from the 53-man active roster.
A first-round draft choice by the Vikings in 2009, Harvin caught 280 balls for 3,302 yards and 20 touchdowns in his first four years with Minnesota, playing in 54 games with 43 starts. He also rushed 107 times for 683 yards with four TDs and returned 114 kickoffs for 3,183 yards, including a 105-yard return at Detroit Sept. 30, 2012.
He had his best receiving game Dec. 4, 2011 vs. Denver, catching eight passes for 156 yards and two touchdowns.
Harvin made the Pro Bowl as a return specialist in 2009 , when he was named Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year. Harvin is a University of Florida graduate and helped the Gators win two national titles during his time in Gainesville.

Percy Harvin was drafted in the 1st round, not in the 3rd round as your article states.
Fixed. Thanks.
