The Mariners Thursday called up 29-year-old outfielder Cole Gillespie from AAA Tacoma and sent INF/OF Nick Franklin and RHP Erasmo Ramirez back to the minor leagues, Franklin to Tacoma and Ramirez to A High Desert.
