The Mariners made four roster moves ahead of Saturday’s 3:10 p.m. PT game against the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field, most notably activating OF Mitch Haniger from the disabled list and recalling RHP Casey Lawrence from AAA Tacoma. Both will be available for the second game of the three-game series.

The Mariners Saturday recalled RHP Christian Bergman from AAA Tacoma and, to make room on the 25-man MLB roster, optioned RHP Andrew Moore to the Rainiers. Bergman was available to the club when it played the third of four games against the L.A. Angels Saturday night at Safeco Field.
According to multiple sources, including MLB.com, the Mariners Friday acquired LHP Andrew Albers from the Atlanta Braves for cash considerations. The 31-year-old Albers has limited major league experience, but has a 12-3 record and 2.61 ERA record this season at AAA Gwinnett. The Mariners have yet to confirm the trade.

The Sounders Thursday acquired midfielder Calum Mallace from the Montreal Impact in exchange for a 2019 MLS SuperDraft fourth-round pick. Mallace is a five-year MLS veteran who has made 80 career appearances since Montreal selected him in the second round of the 2012 SuperDraft.
RHP Felix Hernandez (shoulder bursitis) and RHP David Phelps (elbow impingement) were placed on the 10-day disabled list Tuesday by the Mariners, who also added IB Yonder Alonso to the 25-man roster. Hernandez is expected to miss three to four weeks, Phelps two to three weeks.
