Hameir Wright, a 6-foot-8 small forward from Albany, NY., has signed with the University of Washington, men’s basketball coach Mike Hopkins announced Friday. Wright has enrolled in summer classes and will be eligible to play for the Huskies in the fall.

The Mariners Wednesday selected RHP Andrew Moore from AAA Tacoma, optioned RHP Christian Bergman to the Rainiers and designated RHP Tyler Cloyd for assignment. Moore, 23, one of the Mariners’ brightest prospects 23-year-old Moore, was available to Seattle Wednesday night for the third of four games against the Detroit Tigers at Safeco Field.
The Mariners will bring Felix Hernandez and Hisashi Iwakuma off the disabled list this week, and both will pitch against the Astros next weekend.
The Mariners Sunday made three more roster moves, selecting RHP Max Povse from AA Arkansas, optioning RHP Rob Whalen to Arkansas, and designating LHP Dillon Overton for assignment.
