Highly-touted high school senior Nigel Williams-Goss has signed a letter of intent to play basketball for Washington. Coach Lorenzo Romar made the announcement Friday in Uncasville, CT., where Washington will play Seton Hall Saturday in the third round of the Tip-Off Hall of Fame Classic.
The proposed basketball/hockey arena will be nearly twice the size of KeyArena, but slightly smaller than comparable arenas around the NBA.
Washington will finish the 2012 regular season with two day games. The Huskies can also finish with an eight-win campaign for the first time since 2001.
