The Seahawks have been awarded running back Mike Davis off waivers from the San Francisco 49ers, who released the two-year pro Friday. With the addition of the 5-9, 217-pounder, the Seahawks have 11 tailbacks on their roster as well as two fullbacks.

According to a report in USA Today, former University of Washington basketball star Brandon Roy was shot in the leg outside his grandmother’s house over the weekend in Los Angeles. “Someone opened fire randomly and (Roy) was shielding some of the kids who were there,” the report quoted a witness as saying.
