The Alameda County (CA.) district attorney’s office Wednesday formally charged Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch with driving under the influence. A spokesperson for the office confirmed in an email to the Associated Press that Lynch had been charged. Lynch is scheduled for a court date Aug. 14.

The Mariners Wednesday placed LHP Charlie Furbush on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left triceps muscle and replaced him on the 25-man roster with RHP Steve Delabar, who was optioned to AAA Tacoma Tuesday to make room for the return of RHP Blake Beavan. Grant Feasel, a center for the Seahawks from 1987 to 1992, died at 52 Sunday in Fort Worth, TX. Cause of death was not reported. Feasel played in Seattle from 1987 to 1992, starting every game in 1989 and 1990 and all 15 he played in 1991. He played in 117 games over eight seasons
