Despite holding baseball’s best offense to just four hits, the Mariners lost 3-1 Tuesday, and close out with Texas at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday behind ex-Ranger Kevin Millwood.
The Seattle Sounders FC will face the Atlanta Silverbacks, a second-tier American soccer team and a member of the North American Soccer League, in the first match of their Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup title defense. The game will take place — as of now — next Wednesday in Atlanta at 4:30 p.m., Pacific Time.
